Common symptoms and solutions for hose assembly failures:

• Expired service life
• Improper hose insertion depth
• Fitting crimp diameter not within required dimensions
• Insertion tube damaged during assembly (field attachable fittings)
• Hose twisted (application routing)
• Hose abrasion

• Hose minimum bend radius exceeded
• Fluid incompatibility
• Hose is kinked or crushed
• Dry air aged
• Excessively high/cold temperatures
• Excessive pressures

FLUID INCOMPATIBILITY

SYMPTOM: Inner tube is badly deteriorated. It may show signs of swelling and delamination. In some cases the inner tube may be partially washed out.

CAUSE: Fluid is chemically incompatible with the inner tube material.

SOLUTION: Replace assembly with a hose that has an inner tube material which is compatible with the fluid being used.
